Who I am - What I have done - What I do today
My name is Annalisa and, as you can see in my photos .. I am over 55 years old (anyway, you never ask a lady her age … ha ha ..). I am writing like this not because I don’t want to reveal my exact age .. but simply for not having to update this presentation text every year for at least the next coming years. I speak english and french fluently, I speak spanish fairly well (I am always trying to find the time to study and improve my spanish); I am interested in studying the “Sardinian language” (a beautiful language), also for the fact that in 2020 we finally moved to live in this wonderful Island (Sardinia), in our new house facing the sea!! Our biggest lifelong dream finally had come true!! I love changes, the novelties and I’m very curious about the World. In my life, both personally and professionally, I have had various stages and changes, each one strongly wished, for personal choices (and as a couple: with Mario since more than 30 years!!). Moreover, I love discovering and learning new things and, thanks to this, during each “stage of change” of my life, I have always been perfectly at ease and very happy about all the new aspects …
A dull life (some people would define it as a quiet life ..) spent doing roughly always the same things and with a regular routine, it’s not for me! I love novelties, new projects and new challenges, since ever!
My working experience is long, diversified and extensive
I don’t want to bore you with all the details, but I intend to write some information about me as a presentation and to give you an idea (professionally speaking but not only) about the kind of person I am. I was born and grew up in TORINO, my beloved native town. Since I was a baby girl, I have always been naturally very talented for foreign languages, having always had a good ear for languages, plus an excellent memory. With my parents, since I was a baby girl, I have always travelled in Italy and abroad, mainly for my father’s work requirements. I have always loved travelling above all else, so I decided that I would become an international Interpreter and Translator: so I did!
I worked as a freelance Simultaneous Interpreter and Translator for many years, in many fields for big Companies and for Convention organization Agencies in Italy and abroad. When I was very young, first for study reasons and later for work reasons, I lived and worked for some periods of time in Great Britain. Personal and work walks of life often weave together for various reasons .. so, I worked in Milano for a few years as a Consultant and Manager for a relevant Company in the field of Complementary Medicine, in constant contact with a twin Company in London. Later, I had a particular time of my life, as I mostly had to take care of my health ..
Therefore, we decided to change life and we moved to live in the country (in Piemonte), in a place surrounded by the “green sea” of Monferrato vineyards.
A first relevant working stage of change
At this time, I had a first relevant working stage of change: we decided to open a shop in the historical city centre of Asti (Piemonte) – it was a furnishing accessories, unsual gifts, objects and gadgets shop (mostly coming from Great Britain and from other countries).
I was very happy to have this nice working experience for a few years: the shop was very successful since its start and gave us satisfactions, so much that we also opened a larger second shop .. until when we received a very good offer, thus deciding to sell both shops, both being very prosperous.
Simply, for me it was again the right time for a new stage of change: for a few years I worked as a salesperson (business agent). It was another important working experience, I did Specialization Courses and I learnt a lot in the field of Sales and Marketing; moreover, during those years and travelling for long hours by car every day, I also had the chance (between one Customer and the following) to visit almost every part of my beautiful native region (Piemonte).
When crises years arrived and for other personal reasons, I decided that my Cv (that originally was 6 pages long) and my working experience maybe might be interesting for some private companies .. and so I thought that after so many years of freelance job, followed by being a businesswoman and finally a salesperson.. though being over 40 years old, I could even try to be an employee for some time.

dealing with International Customers
For many years, I worked as an employee for a big company producing Made in Italy and exporting all around the world, until the end of 2019, dealing with international customers under various aspects (international logistics, export documents and other areas, but mainly during the last years I dedicated only to International After Sales). This was an enriching and very interesting experience that allowed me to acquire new skills and working in team, but above all for many years to interact online constantly in 3 languages with customers of all nationalities, in over 80 countries of the world. However, since a few years I really had wished to come back to work fully independently and above all me and Mario, since a long time, we had a secret wish “pressing” for many years to come out of the drawer .. and asking us to be fulfilled. Since 2019, we were committed to look for a house to buy in Sardinia, as to be able to offer myself (ourselves) the chance to become even happier!! Thus, we decided that before the end of the year we had to find our dream home in Sardinia, where to move permanently! On New Year’s day 2020, we celebrated the imminent purchase of our new home, right facing the sea!!
As a thunderbolt for us all, unfortunately “Covid-19” arrived. Surely, it created us a lot of difficulties of various kind, like for everyone in the world I guess but.. despite the virus, I am used to keep moving forward! So, despite everything.. with a certain amount of fatigue, effort and great determination, the programme was respected and we could finally move and start our new life here, in the wonderful “Paradisola” (Paradisland) in Sardinia, right facing the beloved sea!!Â
Having already had years of experience as a HOST with my beloved 2nd home in Turin (Torino) right in the centre, I better defined my new work project and decided to dedicate myself completely to HOSPITALITY BOTH IN TORINO CITY CENTER AND IN OUR GUESTS’ STUDIO APARTMENT HERE IN SARDINIA!
I FULL-TIME WORK AS A PROFESSIONAL HOST IN TURIN AND IN SARDINIA WITH A HOSTING STYLE BASED ON MY LONG EXPERIENCE AS A PASSIONATE, DEMANDING TRAVELLER FOR ALL MY LIFE!!
I HAVE ALWAYS TRAVELLED WITH A “SLOW TRAVELLING” STYLE , IN SEARCH OF CUSTOMIZED AND EMOTIONAL TRAVEL EXPERIENCES!
